The treatment is semi-permanent and it won't wash off. Permanent makeup lasts anywhere from 3-10 years. With permanent makeup it is suggested that you "freshen" the color occasionally. Touch ups are available to refresh your existing permanent makeup.

Alpha- hydroxy, Retin-A and glycolic acid like fruit acids, which are commonly found in some toners, cleansers and moisturizers (please read the labels) must be kept away from treated areas. These substances slough away top layers of the skin and eventually the layer of skin that the pigment has been implanted into. Wearing sun block on eyebrows, sunglasses for eyeliner, and SPF on lips will greatly prolong the effective life of these procedures.

Your body's skin changes over time, and so will any permanent makeup coloration implanted into skin layers. This natural fading process takes years and touch-up are easily done to refresh the colors of the existing permanent makeup.

The cosmetic pigments are formulated especially for face. All procedures at New Permanent Makeup are performed with single use, sterile needles and machine parts for each client and then properly disposed as required by the Center of Disease Control (CDC) and OSHA regulations.

We use only natural organic pigments that are MRI safe. Also because of the natural ingredients colors stay true, unlike pigments that contain iron oxide.

We use only new and disposable products for all of our procedures.

We do our best to minimize any discomfort with the use of topical anesthetics. Some patients say it feels like plucking their eyebrows. Others say it feels like slight scratching, vibration, or deep pressure. Some clients feel absolutely nothing except a prickly or tickling sensation.

Expect slight swelling or redness. Usually the swelling subsides within 48 hours. On the second day after a procedure, a light crust will form. After this crust flakes off it is common for the color to lighten 10 - 50%. Initially, your permanent make-up will appear darker, brighter and thicker than what it will heal to. Detailed aftercare instructions are provided and reviewed before and after each procedure.

Clients are advised to refrain from alcohol consumption, products containing aspirin (including ibuprofen) and vasodilators for at least 3 days prior to their procedure to prevent excessive bruising or bleeding. This is extremely important in order to avoid increased sensitivity.

Clients with any type of contra-indication should have a referral from their Physician first. The referral must be on the Physicians prescription note pad, it must be dated and signed by the Physician stating that the client is approved to have a permanent cosmetic procedure. An example of a contra-indication would be a heart condition or diabetes.

Before a lip procedure you will need to take an anti-viral drug such as Zovirax, Famvir, Valtrex or another prescribed by your Physician. Take the medication as prescribed for 1 week prior and one week after the lip procedure. If you don't, you most likely will have an eruption 3 to 5 days after application of a lip procedure and that will push the color out of the area of the sore.

The manual method of permanent cosmetics is performed manually using a small hand-held non-electric implement. By applying pigments manually, the technician has complete control resulting in a very natural look. The procedure is very quiet. In contrast, application using an electric-powered device is considerably more invasive. The manual method tool comes pre-sterilized and is discarded in a Sharps biohazard container following every procedure. In all applications, regardless of the instrument used, the technician behind the tool is what makes the procedure successful.

We have a variety of lengths and colors for You to choose from.

No. If you have allergies to adhesives, if you have undergone chemotherapy in the past six months, if you are pregnant, or if you do not have natural eyelashes, you may not have eyelash extensions applied.

Eyelash Extensions will last for the full cycle of your lashes. The life cycle of a natural lash is the amount of time it takes for a natural lash to grow in, and fall out. The average cycle is about 30-90 days. We recommend touch-up appointments every 3-4 weeks, to fill in the areas where the natural lashes has fallen out and new lashes are growing in.

The natural growth and loss of your own eyelashes will determine the frequency for touch-ups. The normal period is about 2-3 weeks.

There are several things you must do to protect your lash extensions:
- Avoid steam from hot showers, saunas, etc., for 48 hours after the initial or touch-up procedures.
- Avoid oil-based and waterproof products. Water-based eye makeup remover may be used.
- Stay away from mascara as much as possible, and only use water based if you do.
-Do not use eyelash curler.
-Do not rub or pull on your lashes.
-Do not tint or perm your eyelash extensions

Why do I need to come for fills?

Your natural eyelash growth cycle is between 30-90 days. All of your eyelashes do not fall out at the same time, they replenish gradually day by day. You may lose 2 or 3 lashes per day and when your lashes are short you don't notice it, but with an extension there is a length difference.

The Eyelash bonding agent never comes in contact with the skin or eye; therefore, it is safe. The only other situation would be if a client is allergic to medical tape, such as that on bandages, as this is used to secure the lower lashes. Most clients know of this type of allergy.

No, Eyelash extensions not damage natural lashes. The adhesive that we use dries very soft on lashes, allowing synthetic lashes to stay flexible and bouncy just like your own lashes. Eyelash extensions that we use will adhere to your lashes softly and comfortably while not damaging your natural lashes or causing the natural lashes to fall out.

No, the extensions are glued about 1mm from the base of the eyelash and the extension and glue never come into contact with the skin.

No. Because the lashes and glue do not come in contact with skin, no patch test is required.

No. Only a trained professional will be able to safely apply Eyelash extensions. Unprofessional application or self-application may cause eye injury or clumpy, unnatural looking lashes. New Permanent Makeup Specialists are trained and certified to apply one lash at a time to your individual natural eyelashes to achieve long, thick, luscious, and natural looking eyelashes.

The full-set application of eyelash extensions can take between 1 1/2 - 2 1/2 hours, depending on your own lashes and your desired effect. The touch-up is approximately 45 min. - 1 hour. We always take our time to perform high quality work.

You will be comfortably reclined with your eyes closed while Eyelash extensions are applied individually to your natural eyelashes. The procedure is so relaxing and comfortable that many clients fall asleep.

Unlike the old fake eyelashes, which were applied to the eyelid, the new semi-permanent eyelash extensions are applied directly to the individual eyelashes and have a natural look and feel.

Yes, at any time for any reason. They can be easily removed using our organic remover.

Eyelash extensions are not regulated by the Medical Authorities because eyelash extensions are applied to the natural eyelash hairs and do not touch the skin. Improper application by an unqualified technician can cause damage to the eyes and eyelids.

Eyelash extensions naturally darken your lashes, your lashes will look vivid and mascara is not necessary. If desired, you may wear water-based mascara on the tip of the Eyelash extensions for enhancement. DO NOT USE OIL-BASED OR WATER-PROOF MASCARA. Waterproof mascara along with any type of oil based mascara will dissolve the bonding agent and cause the lashes to fall off. Water-based mascara should come off with just soap and water while washing your face or showering.

Please remove contact lenses and wear glasses to your appointment. Remove eye makeup and mascara with WATER BASED makeup remover (Neutrogena and Dermalogica both carry WATER BASED makeup removers). Do not curl your lashes.

No. This is not recommended because the synthetic lashes already come with a very nice curl to them. Eyelash curlers are very harsh and can break both natural and synthetic lashes.

Yes. Our specially formulated bonding agent allows you to shower, swim, exercise, sleep and spa worry-free while wearing Lashes. You can enjoy these lashes with little need to adjust your lifestyle. Please do not swim or spa for 48 hours after the procedure to allow the bonding agent to fully cure.
